SOL CACAO CHOCOLATE BARS

MADE IN HARLEM, New york

BY THE MALONEY BROTHERS

- CURATED BY MILES.CITY

We, the Maloney brothers were born and raised on the beautiful caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Growing up we were always surrounded by cacao trees and enjoyed eating chocolate made from the trees we grew and from the pods we picked. Of course, we brought our strong passion for chocolate to the United States, where we realized the most popular chocolate products did not have the same distinct taste we grew up on. After traveling back to our roots in Trinidad we realized that we wanted to combine our love for Trinidad & Tobago and New York City, which is reflected in our product: A unique bean to bar chocolate experience. The Maloney brothers want to share a childhood experience and bring to our customers an affordable luxury crafted in Harlem.

SWEETCICLES

MADE IN QUEENS, NEW YORK

BY ANDREA PATEL

- CURATED BY MILES.CITY

We're obsessed with the flavors of Earth.  Fruits, roots and shoots inspire us. We work hard to bring you delectable Sweetcicle's Soft Chews in sweet (but not too-sweet) flavors. A lifelong sweets aficionado from rural Pennsylvania, our founder Andrea (aka Sweetcicle) was inspired to craft her own take on confections.  Drawing influence from treats from around the world, like the rich texture of soft Australian licorice, but wanting to put a twist on it by concentrating on nature inspired and out of the ordinary flavors, we have worked 2 years to bring these unique sweets to fruition. We are developing our wholesale business with local retailers and making our product the old fashioned way- small batch with lots of love and attention.

COOPER LAKE FARM

MADE IN HUDSON VALLEY, NEW YORK

BY GAYLE BURBANK

- CURATED BY HUDSON RIVER EXCHANGE

At Cooper Lake Farm, we make incredible handmade brittles that are great alone and fantastic with cheese. Committed to creating unique and artful products, we combine our love of good food and entertaining at home. Our brittles are crafted for those who seek new food experiences and who appreciate beautiful presentation.

Ken and I moved full time to Woodstock after successful careers in the NYC fashion industry. While making a name for myself as a landscape designer, a little holiday hobby of making brittle for friends and family has now turned into a full time venture. We started with a few brittle samples and a “Go” at a local gourmet farm stand. All sold in a few short hours and word got out about Cooper Lake Farm Brittles.

BIGGIES' CRACK TOFFEE

MADE IN QUEENS, NEW YORK

BY STEPHANIE GOLDEN

- CURATED BY MILES.CITY

One day I sampled homemade toffee and as silly as it sounds, while I have always loved toffee I didn’t know it was something you could MAKE.  I thought it was something you had to buy. I started making it on a regular basis and it evolved into something that I would want to eat.  I started using dark chocolate, and then added different types of sea salt.  I then began experimenting with different toppings. The biggest revelation came when I discovered I preferred eating the toffee at the edges of the pan that were thin and crunchy. One of my gripes with regular toffee has always been that I find it too thick and hard.  And I wasn’t alone. When I shared it with friends, they loved it too.  When you eat our Crack Toffee what you get is thin, cracky, crunchy, yummy and unlike other toffee on the market.
